Punxsutawney Phil, the world's most famous groundhog, never saw his shadow just after dawn this morning, so an early spring is predicted!
Skyler's shadow didn't emerge either. Looks like we'll get a jump start to outdoor fun. Parks & picnics here we come! Check out one of Phil's handler (last one on right) in the above picture. He's wearing a Pittsburgh Steeler's scarf! Woo-hoo!
According to folklore, if it's cloudy when a groundhog emerges from it's burrow on February 2, it will leave the burrow signifying that winter will soon end. It sure was cloudy today and for double measure we even looked to see if Laney's shadow was present......nope!
No shadows here!
