Request...

Skyler's Daddy has had numerous requests regarding pictures of him in his school dress attire. Well, the anticipation stops here! Pictured is Major Short, a.k.a my Sexy Hubby, arriving home after teaching Algebra Honors at Summerlin Academy, a JROTC magnet school in Bartow.

I just had to include these next action shots of our Sweet Pea. While Daddy is educating cadets, Skyler is always eager to help me with the daily house work. She loves the swiffer wetjet and actually does a pretty good job! Guess it's never too early to introduce chores....lol!

All C's = A+

Catching a Wave
City Walk
Chilly Weather
Clarks
Cousins
Carousals
Clapping & Cheering
Skyler got to enjoy her cousin's Nikki & Jodi with Auntie Kevie on a chilly Saturday night at City Walk in Orlando. We started the evening with dinner at Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville Restaurant. We dined to live music which is always a favorite for Skyler. She had so much fun clapping and cheering during the songs!

After a delicious meal, we strolled the City Walk complex taking in a live concert and then a carousal ride. Check out her pretty boots from Auntie Nicola & Uncle Bogie....

We mixed in a little bit of shopping....

and catched a wave wearing some fashionable pink boots.....

and checked out more sights, especially all the bright lights......

By 10PM, we decided to wrap up a wonderful evening and say our goodbyes. The cold weather didn't stop our fun, it just huddled us closer together!

Havin' a Ball!

We bought Skyler her very first soccer ball this week and she's enjoyed every minute of it! She loves to throw and kick it around the yard. She's even learning how to catch. Daddy thinks we have quite the athlete on our hands. Thank goodness her coordination and quick learning ability continue to shine!

We spent all afternoon playing outside with this ball on such a gorgeous day. She even lasted longer then the sun! Here are some cute pictures of our all star player.

Skyler insisted of sleeping with her new found love, so after cleaning the ball, it was off to bed. She picked up where we left off the day before, but was limited to the indoors because of the rain. It certainly didn't stop her energy or the fun!

Love is in the Air!

Skyler is so excited to announce the engagement of her Cousin Jodi to Dustin Roark! While Glammey was taking care of our Princess, Tom & I were cruising to Cozumel, Mexico with his family. Pictured below is that special moment captured in true live form from the evening of October 22nd. Congratulations to a wonderful couple! We love you and are so delighted to see the family grow.

2nd Halloween

Skyler's second Halloween proved to be an evening full of many treats and a few tricks! We had such a delightful time handing out candy to the many trick or treaters. Sky started the afternoon off as a Cow. This adorable outfit came all the way from Idaho courtesy of Auntie Nicola and Uncle Bogie. She just loved it as she ran around the back yard saying "Moo-Moo"! Check out our little farm animal. Caution.......many smiles ahead!

Our second trick for the night involved changing costumes. We all know how much we think our Sweet Pea makes the greatest Lady Bug. The theme has followed her from an new born to a toddler. Auntie Cheryl & Uncle Charles could not resist buying this sweet costume. Unfortunately, she didn't want anything to do with the antennas or the black tights. Still a 100% cutie pie! She stole my heart for sure........

Skyler enjoyed running to the door each time she heard that door bell. She waved to all the children and was quite curious as to what was behind the many masks. The scary costumes did not even frighten her. She just said "Hi" and waved like a little Princess! It was fun taking pictures of her with the candy goers!

Before the Festivities began, Skyler received a Halloween package filled with goodies from Auntie Nicola & Uncle Bogie. Here are just 2 wonderful items.....

She even got two cards in the mail. An adorable hand made card from her favorite Idaho buddy, Ron, and another from her Cousin Matt & his sweet girl friend Alisha.

Skyler's second Halloween was another success, but I can not close without reminiscing down memory lane........Here is a then (2009) and now (2010) picture of our Amazing Gift from our Glorious God! Enjoy.......

My what a difference a year can make!
