Ahoy Maties!

Tom & I will be leaving this afternoon for our 5 day cruise to Cozumel. Skyler is all ready for our departure, as you can tell in the above picture! She gets Glammey & Papa all to herself! Check back sometime next week for your Skyler-fix! Hopefully, our precious angel won't grow too much during our absence.

Kicks & Giggles

Life in Skyler-ville is just full of adventure, offering 100% entertainment. Just ask Glammey & Papa. Although Easter is still 12 days away, our precious beauty had to show off her bunny ears!

Bath time is always a favorite for Skyler. Tom and I still can not get over the fact that we have a blond hair, blue eyed baby girl. Her hair is sooo blond, it's sometimes hard to see it in pictures. But make no mistake, she's got it and it can clearly be seen amongst the suds!

Skyler loves the camera and we love showing off her beautiful blue eyes! Her 4th tooth poked out this morning, so now she's sporting two on the bottom and two on top.

Isn't funny how the littlest things can amuse a child? Check out Skyler in one of her toy boxes. She had the best morning just sitting & standing & clapping, over and over again! This little girl is just delightful and certainly has a zest for fun! A new phrase Skyler has been saying lately is Uh-oh! When ever she drops something, it's the first sound you hear. Too cute!

.....And Then There Were 3!

Spring has definitely Sprung! Not only are the flowering plants blooming but so is our sweet Skyler! She got her 3rd peggy this past Thursday! It's the upper right tooth known as the "Central Incisor". Now that she's finally getting some pearly whites, she just loves to use the tooth brush!

Skyler is also springing up and down quite a lot lately, thanks to her Johnny Jump Up! She has such long legs that it's easy for her to touch the floor and start bouncing immediately. Just another fun game for her! It provides her such entertainment and exercise without taking up any floor space. Tom & I love watching her in it and the silly sounds that she makes.

Family+Friends=FUN!

Skyler ended her 41st week with a very special visit from her Auntie Kevie and her Cousin Nikki, yesterday. Cousin Nikki flew from California to be apart of the bridal party for a wedding in Jacksonville this weekend. On the top of her list of must dos, was to see her youngest baby cousin! Skyler has not seen Cousin Nikki since October, but they reconnected easily and had a fun day. Tom & I realize that Nikki only had 2 free days during her Florida visit and we thank you for sharing one of those precious days with Skyler!

Friends also make Skyler extra joyful, so we stopped by the Florida Baptist Children's Home to surprise her favorite football pal, Miss Helen on St. Patty's Day! Skyler had an enjoyable time playing with beads and everything else on her desk. She did try to help Miss Helen do some work. Just another playful day in Miss Skyler's world. Happy Friday to our awesome family and friends!

Today is St. Patrick's Day and you don't have to be Irish to be favored by fortune....just ask us! Skyler is wishing you all a day of riches.

Skyler received three cards recently. A sweet homemade St. Patrick's Day card and two musical cards. She also got a St. Patrick's Day gift....an outfit from Uncle Bogie & Auntie Nicola. Inside the package was a jar of Gerber Puffs....her favorite!

Spring Ahead

Daylight Saving Time gives us the opportunity to enjoy sunny summer evenings with our Sweet Skyler by moving our clocks an hour forward. Yet, it also confused Skyler's little biological clock. She slept until 8:30! Being well rested, she had a wonderful morning playing with Daddy yesterday.

Skyler received two rocking chairs recently. One from our dear friend Linda Piney and the other from my friend, George Hudson, who happens to be in my Kiwanis Club. Yes, even all the men in my Kiwanis Club love on her every Thursday and she eats it up! We put one in her bedroom and the other in the living room. She has enjoyed both of them quite a bit. Look, no hands!

Another new addition to our furniture is Skyler's very own dining chair. Now, she can sit with us around the kitchen island and be closer to us during dinner. It attaches itself to the granite and it's light & portable for restaurant use as well! Doesn't she look so sweet and mature? Skyler is just growing so quickly, looking less and less like that little baby we all loved!

Burger Baby

Lately, Little Miss Skyler has had a strong interest in Laney's doggie toys, preferably the Burger! Perhaps it's because of the soft shape & the squeaky noise that it makes. Anyway, it's been a hoot to watch her go to Laney's basket and dig out the Burger. As I've mentioned in many past posts, life at The Short's is always amusing.
