Top Seller!

Skyler definitely put the word FUN in fundraising last week. Sky and her school classmates were given the opportunity to participate in selling PartyLite Candles, offering three types of candles in 10 fragrances.
My 'lil Entrepreneur quickly got to work! I sent a few emails out on her behalf to some close friends describing Skyler's new venture & included a brochure.
She definitely wanted to put her selling skills to use and woke up at 5:30AM to join me at Kiwanis last Thursday morning. As you can see in the above picture, she was eager to sell by 6:15AM! Once we arrived to the club, Sky greeted many members with her beautiful blue eyes and contagious smile. She sold hundreds of dollars and became the TOP Seller! 50% of the sales goes towards a worthy cause.....Her School, First Steps at First United Methodist.
I can't thank you all enough for supporting her first fundraiser and for being apart of a valuable learning exercise. She's such a social genius and is a smart tot, so I know if we continue to keep God centered in her life,  she'll thrive in Corporate America. Although, she continues to tell me daily that she wants to be a doctor so she can help people!

Evening Hoedown

Skyler got invited to Giulia's 1st Birthday party this past Saturday. Her family, the Buckman's, our friends from Church. Skyler loves little babies and is always caring for Giulia each Sunday and Wednesday. Her big brother Boaz, attended Sky's 3rd birthday party last summer. The party was an adorable Cowgirl theme and here's the cute birthday girl.....

 "The Corral"

There were many activities outside for the children to enjoy. From a fort to a horse swing to delicious food. Sky dipped her party shoes in a bit of everything! She especially loved the square dancing at night.
Here's Skyler with her friends, Abbey and Ben Moffitt. Ben had the cutest a Pirate theme party back in October that Sky was blessed to attend.

 Visiting the Fort....

 Chow Time!
The kids were displaying some fancing foot work to the "Hee-Haw" tunes.
 Sky & Ben...

It was finally time to sing to the Birthday girl, which is always the Princess' favorite part! We had a wonderful evening with many of our church friends. Such a fun way to spend a Saturday night

Lunch Date

It felt like ages since the girls last got together, so us Mommies decided it was time for a Saturday lunch date. Although  Skyler & Reese see each other at school, they no longer share a ride home together, since Ms. Leah landed a full time job.
We met for lunch at Beef 'O' Brady's at Lake Miriam Square. The BFF's quickly embraced one another and held hands as they led us to our booth.
It was such a great afternoon catching up. The girls colored and laughed a lot before the meal arrived.

I'm not sure who had a better time....Skyler & Resse OR Me & Leah. What I do know is that it was fun reconnecting again and sharing our latest stories.
We hated to leave after an enjoyable 1 1/2 hours, but the Princesses needed their beauty sleep and then Sky had to get ready for a birthday party later that evening. Cheers to great friends...Younger & Older!

All In A Day's Play

Besides daily tea parties, The Princess always makes time for dress up and baby dolls. She's definiely a proud girly girl! Skyler has been enjoying her new stroller from Gammey and you can pretty much find her pushing it from room to room.
Sky's been talking a lot about her cake for her 4th Birthday and it actually involves Princesses! Goodbye Woody, Hello Cinderela and Belle!
Hope you all are showing off your daily style.....our Sweetie sure does!

Mark 12:30

Love has definitely been the theme for the past week and what a better way to continue the oh-so good feeling, then learning the bible verse from Mark 12:30, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart...".

Skyler continues to enjoy her Wednesday evening Cubbies class and has just completed her 13th lesson. She also earned another Ern E Elephant patch for her blue vest.

We've been teaching Skyler how Jesus wanted all the people to know how important it is to love God. Loving God with all your heart means to love God every day, in every way. We've worked on an a few activities this week on how we can show our love to God. (in actions and in crafts) Sky said that if she loves her family & friends and helps her teachers at school then God will be happy. Perfect examples of showing her love to God!
Skyler made this adorable pink heart by cutting and tearing paper into shapes then gluing the pieces into the outlined heart.

Rides & All Things Fried!

Skyler experienced her 1st State Fair last week and boy was it a fun night! Games, shows, rides, live entertainment and plenty of food awaited us on a warm Tuesday evening in Tampa. With our tickets in hand, we were ready for fun.....

Sky loved all the bright neon colors from the rides and was eager to take a whirl on the Ferris Wheel for the very first time. With no fear of heights, this definitely became her favorite ride! She even stood up to take in all the sights.

The Princess kept repeating over and over again, "I love this!" Did I mention the smile beaming from ear to ear?

Our view.....
We took in all the sights, smells and food oddities for over two hours. Skyler had a lot of fun enjoying more rides. The Florida State Fair has been around since 1904 and this was only my second visit. Since Sky is a Fair lover, I'm certain we'll be making yearly visits. It's less than a 30 minute ride from home.
Sky was interested in riding the Dizzy Dragon, so I sat this one out and let Daddy take my place. Of course the Princess chose a Pink dragon!

Sky saw the battery operated bumper boats and was eager to get behind the wheel.

We even went to the exotic petting area and Sky had a blast feeing carrots to the giraffes.

I mentioned food oddities and if you can fry it then you can eat it. At least that's the unofficial motto of State Fair food. I've never seen so many fried concotions! We stayed on the mild side and dipped our taste buds into Wisconsin Fried Cheese, Funnel Cakes (a fair must have) and the original hot dog.

We sure left with big smiles and full tummies. I think we started another Short tradition....visiting the Florida State Fair each year!
