Family Fun~Part II

Skyler was all smiles when visiting her Auntie Kevie, Cousin Jodi & Jordan last weekend. A wedding event took Tom & I to Melbourne that Saturday night, so with the Princess having her dear family only 25 minutes away, a visit to Merritt Island was a no brainer! It included a full day of fun and even an over night!

Skyler started her visit with affection galore. It had been almost 3 months since she was last rolling all over her Auntie K and Cousin J.

The Princess received her very own Twilight Ladybug light for Easter. Once it's turned on it will project stars and a crescent moon onto the celing. It has made bed time even more fun, as she loves to count the stars.

Tom & I left for the wedding around 5:30 and Skyler didn't blink an eye during our absence. It was outdoor fun, starting with chalk drawings.

Even Jordan helped create some master pieces!

The crew did some running around the yard while playing a game of kickball.

She likes to run....

and sure loves to dance!

As you can tell by the many pictures, Sweet Pea had a super time with her family. We all enjoyed breakfast that next morning before heading home and had the car packed by 9. Along with her Twilight Ladybug, Skyler got a few more Easter goodies....An Easter book, a rubber ball and her very own pretties from Auntie Kevie & Uncle Larry's trip to Hawaii! Yes, she is a very blessed little girl.

Family Fun~Part I

It's always fast pace in the Short Family! Our Princess keeps us on the go and she really loves to adventure outside her domain. This past weekend, Skyler wanted to show Daddy her favorite new hang out and she added a new twist to the mix...a visit to the water fountains! It was such a pretty spring afternoon and Sky was ready to get wet.

After a quick dry & change, we showed Daddy the beautiful park that we enjoy with our church friends. Smiles galore as they explored!

All that play stirred up an appetite, so we drove over to Lakeside Village for a delicious meal that we enjoyed outside.

After eating & people watching, we walked across the street to relax by the water fountains. Well, I relaxed on the park bench, while Skyler and Daddy ran around the shooting fountains chasing each and then briefly stopping for a quick splash to cool down!

It was such a great afternoon and I love watching my two Lovies interact. We spent almost 3 hours at the Village. We could have stayed longer but we decided to wrap up the fun and head home since we had another big family day planned with Auntie Kevie & Cousin Jodi in Merritt Island the next morning. Check out my future star runner. Great smile with perfect running form!

Be sure to visit us tomorrow for a recap regarding our continued family fun in Merritt Island.
