Welcome 23 Months!

Sweet Pea celebrated her 23rd Month today by dining out then relaxing at one of her favorite spots, the fountains at Lakeside Village.

Another fabulous day spent togather as a family. Throwing pennies into the fountain is always a must do before leaving and I'm sure Daddy's wishes had something to do with not growing up too fast!

Hope everyone has a great weekend. Skyler gets Glammey tomorrow, while we attend our 7th wedding of the year. Happy Birthday, Princess! One more month to go before turning two.....

Past 10!

Not only is the Princess learning new words each day, she can now count to eleven! Yeap, our over achiever did not stop at 10....lol She threw in that extra number and actually started doing this during our 2nd Annual Girls Trip.

Snapped these pics while she was counting....

It all started on the farm. We would count chicken eggs and the hens each time we headed down to the barn. I failed to share these pictures during the Tennessee post, so these definitely have come in handy for this amazing story.

She counted hens with Uncle Charles during feeding time...

Skyler loved the stairs at Auntie Cheryl's house and it quickly became a game going up and down, slowly counting each step. We must have done this a hundred times. They actually have fourteen steps, but for some reason she would stop counting at 11.

I am so proud of her counting ability which we work on every day! I keep her busy as I try to maximize her physical, emotional, intellectual and behavioral development. No wonder I'm exhausted by the end of the day, but it's so well worth it!

Eggstravaganza!

The Princess enjoyed her second Easter this past Sunday, but before I divulge in all the fun activity, I do hope you all had a lovely day celebrating His resurrection! We began our morning having breakfast and then got ready for church. Skyler wore a beautiful yellow dress from her Auntie Nicola & Uncle Bogie. (I had been saving this gift for the day we praised our Savior) I was singing in the Easter choir, so I was a bit nervous. Daddy said I'd do fine since our group had been practicing every Tuesday night for the past 10 weeks. Anyway, you can't start Easter off without some bunny ears and after seeing this, it definitely made me relax!
2011 above & 2010 below.......
After church, Skyler enjoyed her very first Easter egg hunt! She wasted no time picking up the colored plastic eggs and placing them in her pretty purple butterfly basket. I don't know who had more fun......Sky or Us! Here are many pictures of our little egg hunter.

After Sky found all her eggs, she sat down in the grass, tipped them all out of her bucket and started counting each one as she placed them back in.

We headed back inside and Skyler continued the fun with her goodies throughout the house.

Skyler is still that sweet little angel and is certainly a lover. Sharing has come quite easy for her. Here she is trying to share her basket with her new friends.

As you can tell by the numerous pictures, our Easter Sunday was wonderful, in spite of missing Glammey & Papa so very much! Papa was sick & Glammey took care of him which caused the change of plans.

I'd like to hop a few days backwards and share some of Skyler's Easter goodies that arrived during that week. She is so blessed to have a family who adore her! The Princess received a Hallmark Totally Ticklish Duck from Auntie Kevie & Uncle Larry. It flaps it's wings and sings a song....too cute. The present arrived during her nap, so we decided to place it in the middle of the floor, so she could see it when she came out into the kitchen. Her expression was priceless...

She ran right to it, picked it up and smothered it in hugs!

The very next day, came a parcel from Auntie Nicola & Uncle Bogie. They bought her the cutest hula skirt & lay from their recent Hawaii trip along with some pretties. True action below.....

Glammey baby sat the day before Easter so she brought Skyler her gift basket that included treats, a bunny and a pin wheel.

Then came two wrapped gifts.......
I've mentioned in the past how much our sweetie loves school buses. Well, Glammey & Papa bought Sky her very own Fisher-Price bus. It lights up, sings songs and even has a stop sign that flips open! Very cool indeed. Checkout this picture of Skyler's expression when she first saw the bus!

The second wrapped gift was this beautiful outfit. Speaking of beautiful Auntie Cheryl & Uncle Charles bought the Princess a gorgeous dress, but her size had to be ordered from the baby boutique.
Easter of 2011 will be a cherished memory, especially for Glammey! That Saturday our little girl said Glammey for the first time and just does not stop repeating it. I think it's become her favorite word Gammey-Gammey-Gammey and the bus has become her favorite night time pal. Thank you to all our family for helping Skyler relish in this amazing holiday!
