Me-N-G!

After the Grandparents luncheon, Skyler and Gammey continued the celebration and took the show on the road! Not only did our jet setter get to ride in Gammey's car for the first time, but she spent the entire weekend ALONE with Gammey at her condo in Madeira Beach.
As you can tell, the Princess was happy and eager to leave Lakeland to begin her girlfriend weekend. It was all "Thumbs Up"!

And off they went......
Skyler had a packed, fun filled three days. She really loved riding to the beach in Gammey's car with the top down. Although Gammey wasn't able to capture the entire weekend through the lens, their weekend together was special and extremely busy. Here are a few beach pics to enjoy......

The best gift you can give a Grandparent is true LOVE and Skyler kept on giving and giving! Sky is and always will be Gammey's #1 fan.
Tom and I arrived that Sunday evening to pick the Princess up. For the next 70 minutes, Skyler chatted the entire way home about her weekend with Gammey. It was precious and boy what a memory. She didn't leave out any details!

Special School Date

Grandparents are our heritage and are such essential members of our family. Skyler is truly blessed to have a special bond with my Mum. She adores her Gammey and was super excited for Gammey to attend the Grandparent's luncheon at her school. In fact, when the date was announced, Sky immediately made me call her Gammey to tell her all about it and extend the invite! We were the first family to RSVP!

Of course Gammey was just as eager as her Princess and when the luncheon event finally arrived, Skyler had a blast showing off her Gammey to all her schoolmates!
This next picture was snapped as we walked into her class room. Skyler immediately ran into Gammey's arms. Her best friend, Reese, quickly followed. Sky told Reese that she could share her Gammey since Reese's Grandmother lived out of town, so far away. Too sweet!

Gammey and "The Girls"

Pizza was the children's choice of food for the event, while Publix catered the Grandparents meal. Thank goodness Gammey is tiny...she fit right in as she sat in the little chair as she enjoyed her deli sandwich and chips.

At the end of the luncheon Skyler presented Gammey a hand made card featuring her own little hand prints in purple paint. The children even sang a song to all the Grandparents that attended.
After the lovely luncheon, Reese hugged Skyler and thanked her for sharing her Gammey. A wonderful Friday indeed!

Water Play This Labor Day!

LABOR DAY 2012
Skyler had a total blast at her FOURTH Labor Day Retreat at Lake Roy. The four day celebration was filled with tons of laughter sprinkled in with lots of kisses and hugs and plenty of water sports! Her first day began mingling with her dear family and close friends. She quickly found her way into her Cousins Jodi & Jared's arms. She then hung out with the "Girls"!

All smiles with Cousins Jordan, Jodi & Jamie.
Daddy & I did our usual "booze" cruise that Friday night with Auntie Kevie, Uncle Dog, Ron & Debi and Greg & Missy. Here's Sky wishing us bon voyage with Cousins Jodi, Jared and Jordan.
It was a beautiful, relaxing night on the boat.
Saturday morning found the Princess enjoying the sun-n-sand. Tom & I had to attend a funeral of a dear friend that morning, so Skyler gave us a kiss, a quick wave and ran off to her family. We were gone for over six hours and came back to hear many adventurous stories!

The biggest adventure for our Water Lover was not only a day on the boat but a day IN THE LAKE.

Skyler went water skiing with her Uncle Dog for the very first time. Although we missed all the hoopla, I was so happy that they captured this day on the Lake. So here ya have it......Our 3 year old skiing on Lake Roy with her Uncle. *Too Cool* I'm certain she'll be using the kiddie skis that her Auntie Kevie & Uncle Dog bought her next year. She'll definitely be surrounded by great teachers.

Evenings are always spent down by the Pavilion as we enjoy the Community Dinner. Everyone brings a dish and we dine on deliciousness! Amazing how men always gather around a hot grill. Bonding shot ahead featuring  Ron, Tom, Greg and Larry a.k.a "The Boys"
Enjoying the Sunset with Auntie Kevie before dinner.
Let the Saturday night feast begin! Tom enjoyed spending some time over dinner with his nephew Matt (Skyler's cousin from Gainesville) and his girlfriend Brittany. As you can see by the many empty plates and big smiles, a great time was had by all!

Skyler's adventurous side shined through again on Sunday! She was eager to jump on the towable water raft  tube and go tubing with Cousin Jodi. She watched all her family enjoy this water sport and wanted to be like the big kids and give it a try. Here's a quick pose with Auntie Kevie before taking off.
Our sun screened beauty was ready to bounce over the waves. Uncle Larry did a great job driving the boat. Sky could NOT stop smiling!! She loved every turn, bump & splash. It certainly was an invigorating activity and another wonderful way to enjoy the outdoors and fresh air. Enjoy these amazing pictures. It was definitely an unforgettable water sport experience and is the perfect family boating outing!
And their off.........
Sky waving during take off!
Then a "thumbs up".....

HUGE FUN!!!
Enjoying the views.....

That's a wrap!
More water fun continued, this time it was in the pool! Sun up or sun down, Sky kept busy in the pool.

Night time fun with Dan...
Playing with Auntie Kevie...

Our last Community Dinner took place Sunday night. Another beautiful sunset and yummy food shared with great family and friends!

After Monday's breakfast, Auntie Kevie surprised Skyler with a large bubble wand. This toy became the morning hit. Sky had a blast chasing and popping the giant bubbles. I'm always sad on the last day of a family gathering, so this certainly lifted my spirits as I watched our little Angel's energy.

You still have to take time to smell the flowers in between all that running around!
My precious flower below...

Even Laney took a break!
We took one last boat ride before our 4PM check out. Sure was a great ending to fantastic family gathering.

Although another Labor Day celebration was over, we had a super weekend mixed with perfect weather. We took home treasured memories and vowed to return in 2013. Family Love is Forever! I just had to include this last picture of sweet Laney taken during the drive home. Skyler was finished with her beach hat and gave it to enjoy. Sharing among sisters!  Not sure she's sad about the weekend being over or uncertain about her new wardrobe!
