Celebrating Alison!

We were so blessed to be apart of Clayton's little sister's first Birthday party! Last Saturday, Skyler, Tom and I spent the afternoon with Alison Knowles and her wonderful family. I can't get over that this darling child is now one. I remember holding her at the hospital when she was just a few hours old.
Skyler was excited to celebrate with the birthday girl!
Of course, Sky and Clayton found each other immediately among the other party goers and played together throughout the party.

Heavy rainstorms interrupted the outdoor play. We had a very wet Princess on our hands!
 Friends since Birth!
Sky expressing her feelings regarding her wet clothes....
 Let the birthday singing begin!
Watching Alison with her first birthday cake, flooded back many memories of the Princess' 1st celebration. I remember Skyler diving into her chocolate cake. Alison did the exact opposite and showed much restraint while keeping her clothes sparkly clean!

Alison's Mommy had to put cake on the spoon for her enjoyment.

It was a fun party and we were so pleased to be apart of such a milestone. I have a strong feeling that the Knowles Family will be in our lives for years to come (Yippie!) and we'll celebrate many more birthdays in the future!

Believing Is Just The Beginning!

Four straight days of rain means tons of indoor play! Skyler has been exploring fairy land and pixie dust. She's been so inspired to find her own adventures and build her own magical word.....just like Tinkerbell! It's adorable to watch her imagination take flight while wearing her sparkly costume!

Kisses From Above!

Looks what's appearing on Skyler's nose....freckles! These beauty marks have developed over the summer and I think they are so darn adorable. The Princess asked about her new features and I told her they were sweet kisses from Angels. She replied, "Well then, they are from Papa because he's my Angel." Yes, I'd like to think they are kisses from above....... :)

We had a fun weekend and actually went two full days without any rain. We played outside a lot and cooled down in Skyler's mini pool.
We enjoyed church on Sunday and continued to relaxed outside in the glorious warm weather!

Kaboom!

It was a double celebration during the Fourth of July Holiday. We enjoyed Lakeland's Annual Red, White & Kaboom fireworks on the 3rd and then *BAM*, Gammey came over the following day to complete a fantastic celebration of America's Independance!
We headed downtown Wednesday night to and met up with the Hawxwell Family. This was Skyler's 5th time enjoying America's birthday.
The Princess was super excited to spend the event with her bestie, Reesey! The two paled around listening to live mucic before the spectacular show began.

The first blast was right on time...9PM!

The breathtaking firework display definitely dazzled our family!

It was so beautiful watching it over the lake. By 9:30, we headed home with one tired little girl.
The following morning, Gammey came to spend three days with us! Sky waited patiently by the living room window until her blue car rolled into the driveway. It was all hands on.

Gammey bought Skyler two beautiful dresses from her trip to Tennessee and even brought back a jumbo coloring book. Sky just adores arts & crafts.
We enjoyed a wonderful cookout of ribs and all the fix'ins. Total Yum! daddy had been marinating 4 slabs since Sunday and boy were they delicious. After dinner, we enjoyed our own private firework show right in the back yard.

 Happy 4th!
What's a 4th of July celebration without the traditional sparklers!

We continued celebrating Friday night, as Gammey & Skyler had a girl night while Daddy and I celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary at the Columbia Restaurant in Celebration.

What a joyous three days! I hope your 4th was filled with plenty of festivities, good food and family!
