Showers To Sun

I feel like we were living in Seattle towards the middle of last week. The rains came for three straight days, which means no outdoor fun for the Princess. Instead, we used our imagination and played inside, starting with her cool kitchen set from a dear customer of mine.

God was still cleansing our city by Wednesday, so Skyler played dress up, which she can do quite easily thanks to the beautiful and well stocked clothes in her bulging closet! We did a lot of dancing......

and had indoor picnics....

Skyler can speak in sentences which has become fun for us. Here's a cute example.....Instead of pointing & saying, "nose". She now says, "I see Laney's nose." Our chatter box played a lot with Laney during the gloomy weather or I should say, chased Laney around the house.

She had plenty of time to sharpen her basketball skills by Thursday. The rain was still present.

By noon, the weather got worse and we found ourselves hovering down in the bathroom. 5 tornadoes hit our area that afternoon, but God was watching over us and we escaped with only minor damage to our fence. These pictures were taken Friday morning.......

Since the sun finally appeared its beautiful face, our hostage time was completed and we decided to drive over to Lakeside Village to enjoy the outdoors and shop for some wedding gifts.

Here's Skyler enjoying God's beauty. The rains made everything so green. I just love Spring!

The Princess couldn't wait to run over to those fountains. Even when we were driving into the complex and the water was not even in her sight, she just started getting excited and kept screaming water-water-water! I find it amazing how she can look at the scenery and can remember it's contents. Even when we drive to church, as soon as we turn onto Lake Morton Drive, our Angel shouts, "Church." She just knows that it's on that lake!

There goes the fountain lover.....

Clapping her hands.....

and dancing to the on going music.....

It was such a sunny day, as we enjoyed over 4 hours in this lovely outdoor shopping mall. Skyler is your true girly-girl. Never fussing over a shopping trip and always so beautifully dressed! The cute pink outfit came from Glammey & Papa's Mediterranean trip. I hope you all are soaking in a glorious day.
