Look who just completed 100 days of school! *WoW* We are so proud of Skyler's progress and exceedingly high test scores. Don't you just love the hat she made honoring this mile stone in PreK?
Last week's chosen reading assignment was, 'Bunny Cakes' by Rosemary Wells. (We own quite a few books by Ms. Wells) Again, Skyler and I read the story daily and she answered a series of questions. By the end of the week, another illustration was created. Drawing is a great first place to start when it comes to writing and Skyler enjoys sharing her ideas about what she's learning through her creations. Brilliant!
This engaging and humorous book is about a bossy sister named Rose who is trying to keep her brother, Max, out of the kitchen so she can bake their mother a birthday cake. Skyler's favorite part was when Ruby made Max go to the store and buy eggs, since he broke them. Check out the yolk flowing out of the eggs....Sky even duplicated Ruby's shopping list. So cute.
Last Friday, the Princess shared her book and picture with her 10 PreK classmates. Skyler will be sharing her latest book "Construction Trucks" this week. Stay tuned, story to follow....
