Blonde 2 Blonde

The Princess loves play dates with all ages, especially when a family member is involved! Because of Papa's sickness, she visits him weekly, but it's been extra fun having Auntie Nicola in town. Skyler enjoys going on trail walks with her and then continuing the fun at the condo.

Sky is a huge fan of the telephone, pretend or live talk and our chatter box quickly got Auntie Nic involved in her game!

A new game Skyler likes to engage in is the popular & fun Hide-n-Seek. She gets a kick out of hiding and anticipates getting found! Her favorite spot in Gammey & Papa's house is behind the palm plant.

After a cookie break, when knew we needed to get back home and start packing for our weekend away in Cocoa Beach.

It was big hugs and kisses from her Auntie and words of encouragement as Skyler prepared to walk down the beach, all by herself, as a flower girl in Cousin Jodi's wedding.

I am excited to share the wedding event with you all tomorrow night! Stay tuned, you'll be pleasantly surprised.....

Twice "The Star"!!

It's not every day you get to see your name in the local newspaper or even your own picture, but leave it to Sklyer Miss "I've Never Met A Stranger" Social Butterfly. Yes Sir Re, the Princess has appeared in The Lakeland Ledger on TWO separate occasions, all before turning 2 1/2 years old!

The day after Halloween, Skyler was photographed twice in section titled "Images of Polk". It featured children enjoying Lakeland's pumpkin patch. You can imagine my surprise when I saw our Sweet Pea trying to kiss her friend, Clayton, amongst the bright orange pumpkins. In the picture below, you can see her silhouette in front of the chapel (to the right of a woman and her son) as she hunts for that right pumpkin.

The first time she appeared in the newspaper was this past April. The Ledger ran a story about successful business women managing work & home. It was a fun morning, having Rick, the photographer, capture our day of work & play! Although our schedule stays overloaded and some would even say quite full, it sure is a blessing and a delight working from home while raising our precious gift.

Super Skyler!

Skyler's 3rd Halloween was a total blast. As you can tell by the pictures, she was dressed as Super Girl, but if you asked her, she would tell you "Super Skyler!" Yeap, super indeed! Once her costume was on, she immediately started shouting, "Super Skyler & I Can Fly!" That cape was a huge hit and she was eager to run around.

Before we ventured off to visit a few friends, I snapped some photos and also included the past two years to share with you all. Isn't it fun to go down memory lane? lol.....

Super Girl 2011

Lady Bug 2010

and Miss Pumpkin 2009

Our Super Girl was quite eager to go trick-or-treating and we were strapped in the car by 5:45!

Our first stop was NeNe's house. Super Girl just couldn't wait to ring that door bell and boy could she run fast!

NeNe was so happy to see Skyler and actually call her "Mini-Me"! You see, before I married, I would dress up as Wonder Woman each year. My sister Nicola made the costume and NeNe would get a laugh out of it each Halloween! I guess the old saying applies, "Like Mother like Daughter!" lol...... So for kicks & giggles, I must compare the Super Hero costumes.....I really wanted to wear my costume as I walked around with Sky, but Dadddy wasn't a fan of my idea.

Gotta love them red boots!

Wonder Woman 2006

Anyway, Skyler wasn't too pleased to say goodbye to Denise, but we had to head to our next destination. She did manage to walk away with a ton of Skittles, a true favorite for the Princess.

We made a total of six stops, including two Kiwanian houses, Z Milton and John & Joyce Tubb.

Quick candy break......

and then a chat & lolly pop with Laura Milton....

Another memorable holiday filled with tons of smiles and excitement! It really was an amazing night and our sweet Super Girl was finally wiped out by 8PM. Sorry it took me 2 weeks to post & share. I think I'm still wiped out myself....lol!

Fun Ending to October

And so another week of fun comes to an end for the Princess. The past 10 days have been jammed with excitement. It's always super to start any week of with Gammey and that's just what Skyler did! You betcha there were tea parties galore, making "pretend" calls to family members and tons of sharing the toys!

We always pay a visit to one of the many wonderful playgrounds in Lakeland and this week we chose, "Common Grounds". A first for me, but definitely not for Sky.

And of course, we always take advantage of the great play ground located right in our own back yard!

The weather continued to stay warm enough to even take a dip in the pool. Yeap, October 26th and we're still enjoying outdoor activities in our bathing suits! Now that's Florida Fun!

By Wednesday evening, Skyler was anxious to complete her fourth week at Puggles. She was even more excited to show off her new Puggle shirt!

Playing as she waits for the other children to arrive....

Skyler will tell you that God made the trees and now she includes the flowers. Here is a copy of her 4th activity. Daddy liked it so much that he removed it from the refrigerator and took it to hang on his wall in his classroom. Proud indeed!

Sky received LEGO gifts from Auntie Kevie and Gammey, so it's been a big hit each day. She really enjoys building tall structures. It's a gift that has kept on giving and it's the first toy she wants to play with when she wakes up!

We ended our week by having a play date with Oliver, Boaz & Mave Buckman. Along with Ben, Boaz is a favorite buddy of Skyler's. It was pretty interesting having a total of four children under the age of five running around. Active? Yes! Noisy? Yes! Order? No! lol.... It was great having the children over and the Princess really loved sharing all her toys. We've already planned another play date for December 1st. Just call me crazy!

With Halloween being right around the corner, Skyler received a card from her Idaho pal, Ron and she also got cupcakes from Gammey & Papa.

Those cupcakes were the bomb! Very, very yummy. We let Sweet Pea indulge in one after dinner. She always likes to lay in our bed to unwind 30 minutes before bed time. Proof below!

It sure was a great way to end the week! We'll be going to Gammey & Papa's tomorrow morning then visiting a few friends as we participate in the Halloween festivities. You're just going to adore Skyler's costume, so check back mid week for the update. Until then, here's our sweet beauty............a.k.a. Princess!
