SHORT and Sweet: May 2011

That big day finally arrived. Our Princess turned two and just had a fabulous Lady Bug Birthday Party. She was showered with so much love from family and dear friends. Once the guests began to arrive around 3PM, SkylerkylerSkyS immediately had to show off her play house before any celebration could begin. Heather, Auntie Kevie and Cousin Jodi & Dustin took the tour!

After Sky'sSkyleSky Sky's's Fan Club enjoyed the delicious food prepared by her Daddy, it was time for cake! And boy was this a tasty feast! Double the Lady Bugs for double the fun and honoring the 2 year old.

Once we sang her birthday tune, Sweet Pea had fun trying to blow out the candle. It was quite adorable to see her cute little cheeks fill up with air and then blow!

ylSkyS Skyler wasted no time getting that first piece. Much different from last year were she used her hands. Miss Manners put her fork to good use!

Then came some Bag Pipe entertainment just before gift opening....

Back to the presents & also a cool down!

No party is complete without some table dancing....

Our last guest left around 8PM and after a warm bath and a quick change, the Princess fell asleep in my lap within 20 minutes.

It was an extremely hot day, but it never slowed down the Princess' fun during her fabulous 2nd Birthday! I can't thank my dear family and lovely friends enough for being apart of this special occasion. We love you all so very much and thank God daily for being a rich blessing in our life.

Now that we've reached the end of the post, this is the part were you can all vacate so I don't send you spiralling into complete boredom...lol....You see, I have this amazing husband, who prints out this blog at the end of each month and then takes it to Kinkos so it can be placed into a binder, creating my very own keepsake scrapbook. It's so wonderful to be able to look back at any month as long as I have a tissue present.
