Star Spangle Day

Independence Day came with a quadrupedal bang for our stars and stripes Sweetheart! Skyler got to share in this patriotic event with Gammey, NeNe, Linda & Clayton.
We began the celebration early and enjoyed Lakeland's Red, White & Kaboom breath taking firework display on July 3rd with Linda Piney and her family. Check out Sky sporting all her festive accessories from Miss Linda. they came ready to party!

Skyler was enthralled with the dramatic fireworks!
This picture below (courtesy of the Ledger) shows the celebration over Lake Mirror, the exact same place where Tom and I met! It certainly dazzled the thousands of spectators. The lake was packed with so many people.

The Gang...

Miss Fashion dressed the part perfectly as she continued the celebration the very next morning. She was super excited to see her Gammey & NeNe. Isn't her dress from Auntie Nicola & Uncle Bogie the cutest?
NeNe stayed for a few hours which is always a special treat.

By 6PM, Gammey, Skyler, Daddy & I greeted the Knowles' Family (Brian, Rebecca & Clayton) and continued our tradition of getting together each 4th of July. Buddies for life.....
The kids played outside in the pool, while Daddy finished preparing the ribs. We couldn't wait to dive into the delicious food. Skyler and Clayton lead us all in prayer.

Our celebration continued in the back yard with our own firework display. Sparklers are so perfect for the little ones and just like last year, they had a blast!

Fourth of July is commonly associated with family, friends, fireworks and barbecues. Our Independence Day included that and much more! We celebrated the birth of a glorious country that is truly blessed by God. I do hope you all enjoyed a spectacular holiday with loved ones just like we did!

The last firework got a grand ovation!
