Spring Break 2014

Skyler's first Official Spring Break from Highlands Grove Elementary school was jammed full of fun and adventure. Although I was not able to partake in the many activities due to work, I was sent a few photos highlighting the week's events starting with, starting with Wet 'n Wild on Monday.

After leaving the Orlando theme park, they raveled to the East coast and spent the remaining days with Auntie Kevie and Uncle Dawg in Merritt Island. Beach was tops on the list and the weather was beautiful!

On Wednesday, the high temperatures went bye-bye and it was time for jackets. Auntie Kevie took Skyler to the Brevard County Zoo in Melbourne.

They certainly had fun exploring and this mark's Sky's 2nd visit!

My Sweeties were ready to return home that Thursday after much love from the Clark family. And I was super excited to see them both!
Daddy and Skyler surprised me with flowers that weekend. I adore my family so very much!

All In A Weekend

When we don't have a planned event over the weekend, Skyler loves spending her time at the library and our local park, the Common Grounds. It thrills me that she is loves books and wants to read.
 The familiar entrance...
My heart jumps for joy watching Skyler pick out her books and quietly sit down to indulge. We stay for about two hours and then she always draws me a picture before when venture off to the park.

I found it funny that Sky picked up the Wacky Wednesday book. She knows all about my luncheons with my two gal pals, Brandi & Teresa. Perhaps she thought we were featured in this Dr. Seuss' book. lol
Here's the latest weekend creation. That's me with bows in my hair. The yellow depicts the sun that is around me, because as Skyler said, "I'm a happy and best Mommy ever!"
Leaving the Library and getting ready for the park!
Common Ground is Sky's favorite park and we have over 45 parks to choose from! The Princess has been visiting the park since she was One and the playground zones offers an experience for children of all abilities.
Just a small over view of one section....
Skyler loves to swing and climb. What 4 year old doesn't?

 My Love.....
Of course, we also love spending Sunday's in God''s house! Here's our awesome Lake Morton Community Church! How do you like spending your weekends?

Strawberry Fields Forever

It's the season of Strawberries, which means it was time to take Skyler on her very first strawberry picking adventure at a local farm in Plant City two weekends ago. It was also a perfect time to try something new while enjoying the warm sun with friends!
We met the Knowles' Family at Spivey Farms in Plant City and it was such an enjoyable experience. Sky picked four quarts of the finest and prettiest strawberries, ran through the fields and at the very end of the day, ate a few. I told her at the beginning she could eat as she picked, but she insisted on waiting until she was finished collecting her berries. lol

Skyler always has a fun time with Clayton, so this Saturday event proved no differently. The weather was perfect and the Princess couldn't stop smiling.
 Comparing berries....

 Yum!

Skyler was proud of her first quart!
 Buddies....
After we were all finished picking, the kids enjoyed running up and down the rows and goofing off. I can never get enough of their sounds of laughter.
Finally, 2 hours later, Skyler ate a strawberry!
 Love this picture....
 Showing off our juicy treasures....
 Saying goodbye.....Precious!
Before driving home, Skyler wanted a picture taken in front of the Farm's sign. She also wanted to show her large collection of fresh picked strawberries and even asked me to take a picture from both sides. I laughed hard on that request! So, here you have it...A proud Skyler and her Strawberries!

Quest For The Dress

Unless you've been living under a rock, then you know that Disney's movie, Frozen, has captivated millions of Americans including our lovely Princess Skyler. The movie premiered November 27th and within a week, Sky got to see this sweet, magical film filled with great music, likable characters and striking effects. She was hooked before seeing the movie a second AND third time!
Skyler can sing every song word for word from the movie and can even mimic Queen Elsa's powers. This has made playtime quite amusing and I love watching her imagination run wild. From day one, Sky has been mesmerized by Elsa's dress.
One afternoon, Daddy brought it home from the store but told the Princess she had to earn it by doing certain exercises that would make her stronger for gymnastics. Hence the Quest For The Dress began. Daddy placed miniature, colorful cloths pins down the side of the dress and each time Skyler would accomplish her pull ups, she was able to remove a pin. She worked so hard toward her goal and never gave up!

After six long weeks, that valuable lesson of earning something deeply desired (through hard work) paid off. The dress was finally HERS! Her smile made our hearts melt! I was so proud of her dedication and commitment.

There isn't a day that goes by where our Princess doesn't parade around the house as Queen Elsa while belting out the song, "Let It Go!" Our English speaking daughter can now sing the song in Spanish. Did I mention she's crazy about the movie Frozen?
