365 DAYS....52 WEEKS...12 MONTHS
A whole year has flown by and we have experienced so many exciting firsts! Our Skyler Leona enjoyed her very first birthday this past Saturday with family and friends. She had over 50 loving people helping her celebrate the BIG ONE!
Four days prior to her birthday, our sweet Ladybug started walking all by herself! This independence definitely came in handy on her birthday. She just strutted her stuff all day long and felt like a big girl during her entire party.
The Ladybug themed party began at 6PM and even though Skyler enjoyed visiting with everyone, she did take a slight moment to rest and rocked in her chair! Isn't her Ladybug dress so adorable.
Skyler received so many gifts....from beautiful clothes to fun toys & books! She even received her very first flower delivery! One can surely say she has been so use to Mike the Mailman ringing the doorbell. This time it was the Florist that rang the doorbell! Waiting for her was a beautiful floral arrangement with an attached teddy bear from her Uncle Bogie! Skyler was all smiles as she and Auntie Nicola posed for the camera.
After eating the delicious food provided by our cater, Jason Butler, it was cake time! Publix gave
Skyler her very own
little Ladybug cake.
Everyone gathered around and sang Happy Birthday at exactly 7:01. (the exact time she was born last year) Within arms reach and singing loudly were Glammey & Papa, Auntie Cheryl & Uncle Charles, Auntie Nicola, Auntie Kevie & Uncle Larry, Cousin Jodi & Cousin Jared, Jordan, Dustin, Jamie and GrandLee. Yes, her favorites were there!
They say a picture is worth a thousand words, so I do hope you all enjoy these amazing photos of our fearless wonder tearing into her cake. She was NOT shy at all and showed no hints of hesitation!!!
After eating and wearing a good portion of her cake, Skyler found herself in Glammey's arms and headed straight to the bathroom for a good clean-up!
Uncle Larry & Auntie Kevie bought Skyler her very own red wagon. Our Birthday Girl quickly found her way in it and had Uncle Larry give her a complete tour of the back yard. Even her friend, Clayton Knowles, jumped in on the action.
Although Uncle Bogie, Cousin Nikki & Austin were greatly missed, Skyler did finally get to meet her Cousin Matt and his girlfriend, Alisha Kinman. They live in Gainesville and attend the University of Florida. Go Gators! My three dearest girlfriends (Denise, Micki & Heather) shared in Skyler's special day. With my family and such close friends surrounding Tom & I, the day was certainly magical and unforgettable.

Skyler had cake all over her by choice, but her Daddy ended up having the remainder of her cake shoved right in his face by Uncle Larry. Ya just gotta love Brotherly Love and no one can ever say we waste food! It was an added highlight to the party.
Yes, that's Tom in the silly Pimp Daddy outfit enjoying the cake!
Skyler finally crashed by 10PM and we said our goodbyes to our last guests around 1AM! It was an outstanding First Birthday Party. Because many of our family members took such delightful pictures, I thought I would share them to you all throughout the week, so stay tuned and check back often. **Happy First Birthday, Skyler Leona!** You are the grandest gift by far and we will forever celebrate your wonderful day.....May 29th!
