On the morning of Skyler's birthday, she awoke with a big smile and I received my lovely sweet kisses. I told the Princess that she was going to get a new bed and it was time to say goodbye to her crib. Immediately, Sky started waving bye-bye!
After a quick pant change, she had found her Daddy outside enjoying the morning news paper. I was able to capture this intimate greeting.
We spent the entire day together playing with many of her new toys (a post soon to follow) and it was just a perfect May 29th! Our Sweet Pea is officially 2!
By the time the sun had set, Daddy had taken apart her crib and assembled her new sleigh bed. We brought Sky into her bedroom and her face lit up when she saw the change. The transition went amazingly smooth. Skyler slept the entire night in her big girl bed and she just loves it. It's been five days now, and the naps & the bedtime routine is still a breeze.
Skyler even extended an invite to Laney.
How blessed we are to have a child who is so easy going, so complacent. No longer a baby, but our darling toddler. Sweet dreams indeed...............
