We all grew up playing with a Milton Bradley game and one of my childhood favorites was Operation. Hard to believe it's been around since 1965. Thanks to Gammey's gift card, Skyler and Daddy went to Toys R Us and purchased a few games for our Princess.
It's a game of physical skill that certainly tests one's hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills. Although it's aged for 6 years and older, we thought this silly game would be a hit with Sky, since she enjoys playing with her Doctor kit. Anyway, Daddy explained the concept of the game and after a few minutes, Skyler was "operating" on Cavity Sam, the patient.
Paging Dr. Skyler.....
Opps, his red noise went off and it's loud!
For a three year old, Skyler did great. She even got one of the tiny plastic ailments removed and handed it to her Daddy. She was quite proud of herself!
We've had some fun "indoor" evenings together, courtesy of Cavity Sam. Times have definitely changed since I played this game as a young girl. Back then, we were extracting the funny bone, the wrenched ankle, the Adam's apple and even spare ribs. 40 Years later, the ailments are all different and they are shiny, slippery & squishy. My biggest laugh was the plastic cell phone! Thank you technology. Although times have drastically changed, one thing still remains....When you play games, everyone wins in this family affair!
