Magic of Mermaids

Daddy/Daughter Day~Winter Edition 2012

It's no secret that the Princess is a huge fan of Disney's fictional character, Princess Ariel, the Mermaid, so you can only imagine her amazement when Daddy took Skyler to Weeki Wachee Springs State Park during the Christmas school break.

Sky got to witness the magic of the Mermaids along with a boat cruise on the tranquil river and also an animal show.

Although it was a chilly day, Skyler had a a wonderful time and couldn't wait to go into the theatre to watch the Mermaids perform.

The famous Mermaids performed the version of The Little Mermaid. Sky was completely mesmerized and couldn't stop talking about their tail and the story involving a Prince and a witch!

After the show, the two enjoyed the animal exhibit. She got to see many of Florida's native wildlife creatures which she thought was fun, especially the snake!

Just when the Princess thought the day was over, Daddy surprised her with a trip to the Clearwater Marine Aquarium to visit Winter, the famous Bottlenose Dolphin with a prosthetic tail. Winter is the subject in the true film, Dolphin Tail. Skyler saw the movie a few months ago and loved it

Skyler got to see one of Winter's prosthetic tail. It's made of silicone and plastic, which enables her to swim normally. If you've not seen this movie, Sky highly recommends it!

It was another successful Daddy/Daughter day, winter edition of course! Daddy captured this picture before leaving the aquarium. and heading to CDB's pizza in Tampa for dinner. God sure produces much beauty, Skyler and sunsets included!
