Our Little "Puggles"

Skyler participated in her very first church youth group last Wednesday, the 5th, called Puggles, a division of the AWANA Clubs. It was quite exciting for both of us. I get to drop her off for her 6:30 class and be just a few doors down, as I teach the next level in AWANA called Cubbies. (ages 3-5)

and then running to the garage door.....

AWANA clubs helps churches and parents work together to develop spiritually strong children and youth who faithfully follow Jesus Christ. There are six different grade/age levels and what's so amazing is more than 1.5 million kids, ages 2-18, participate each week! Skyler is in the 2-3 year old class. In Puggles, she is welcomed each week with playtime, songs and simple crafts & activities. The leaders present age-appropriate lessons using large, colorful teaching cards, finger puppet play and much more. The lessons teach and reinforce four basic biblical precepts:
  • God Made Everything
  • God Saw That It Was Good
  • God Is Love
  • Give Thanks

Above is a picture of the Princess' first Puggles activity. Her teacher, Miss Wanda, mentioned that our Sweet Pea would not allow any assistance when it came to gluing the cotton balls on her paper. Little Miss Independent for sure! Participating in Puggles will give Sky a head start on the path to loving & following God for life!
