Our Little Farmer

Turnips & new boots for everyone! Hey, ya just gotta be stylin' while harvesting the turnips and petting the animals!! The gals spent a relaxing Sunday surrounded by God's beauty.
I bought Skyler the most adorable pink rubber boots and had them shipped to Auntie Cheryl's. Gammey & Carol were surprised by their own matching black pair of polka dot boots from Auntie Chez.
I don't even have to be there to know that our Princess is enjoying the animals. She quickly got reacquainted with Scout and Mousse. Thanks to Gammey, I can share some adorable pictures.

After a leisurely walk around the ten acre property, Sky helped out in the turnip patch. Our little farmer has never touched these leafy greens or robust roots, but she jumped right in and started harvesting the turnips.

I've never cooked or served turnips, so I'm curious if Skyler will like them. Heck, she enjoys ruterbagas and that's basically a yellow turnip, so ya never know!
Gammey said the Princess finally crashed for three hours around 2PM. Our little traveler surely was exhausted. She had  been up since 3:45 that morning! Monday was a full rain out day spent indoors. Sky started her day off with two scrambled eggs, fresh from the farm. Either she was super hungry or they just tasted too darn good to forgo a fork!
Monday's rain kept everyone inside. I'm pretty sure Sky is probably in deep thought about how much she misses ME in this next picture! Okay, okay.....NOT true, but can't a Mummy wish!
