Up, Up & Away!

Daddy with the Princess and her boarding pass!
The day finally arrived for Skyler to experience her very first airplane ride. We left the house at 4:15 this morning to drive Gammey & Sky to the St Petersburg-Clearwater Airport.

We arrived safely and in plenty of time for their 6:40AM flight with Allegiant Airlines. The  Princess was super excited! It tugged at my heart to see her look so grown up as she pulled her own luggage through the parking lot.

Check in was a breeze and it gave Skyler enough time to show off her airport moves! She was happy to still be toting her own luggage, since it was going in the above compartment.
It was off to the terminal....

Flight 804 to Chattanooga was on time!
Now the tough part came....Saying good bye for ten days.
After many sweet kisses and tight hugs, we watched from a distance as our Precious gift from God boarded the MD-80 airplane with her Gammey and Miss Carol. (Gammey's BFF)

And in just a few more moments they were gone.....

These next photos come from my Mum. Skyler absolutely loved everything about the airplane ride. Here's a quick thumbs up before take off! Gammey said she was fearless.
Up, Up and AAAAWWWAAYYY!!!!
After thirty minutes of flying, Sky looked out the window and told Gammey that they weren't  flying anymore, but they were floating! She dozed off for a short ten minutes.
 Skyler earned her first wings!
Their Flight #804 arrived exactly at 8:04AM
And there ya have it...They landed safely and were greeted by Auntie Cheryl and 40 degree temperatures. Time to bundle up!
Waiting for luggage....

Not only did Auntie Cheryl greet Sky with hugs and kisses, but she had a talking horse attached to a jeweled necklace for the Princess. Such an appropriate gift for the Princess heading to a Farm!
After leaving the airport, they all enjoyed breakfast at IHOP and headed to C&C Farms. Grab your rubber boots and let the fun begin! We love YOU, Skyler and miss you so much!
Please check back often....I'll be updating the Princess' Vacation as the stories and pictures trickle in.
