Valentine's Day is a time to celebrate love.....the most beautiful feeling in the world and our Princess is certainly blessed to be loved by so many!
Cupid hit the Short household with a red hot force. Skyler received such beautiful cards from ALL three Aunties and Uncles, including a special card from "Auntie" Micki. She even got cards in the mail from her friend Ron and her past Pastor and his wife, Tom and Kathy LaVallee. (They recently moved to Tennessee) And what's Valentine's Day without chocolate? Thanks to Gammey, Auntie Nicola & Uncle Bogie and Resse, Sky has a variety for her sweet tooth to choose from.
Skyler was also surprised to find money in her cards from Auntie Kevie & Uncle Dog and Pastor Tom & Ms. Kathy. An extra treat arrived when her BFF, Reese, gave the Princess a picture frame that capture their past summer.
Holding the adorable tin flowered basket full of chocolates from Nic & Bogie....
Cupid followed Sky to school and she enjoyed a delicious party with her teachers and classmates. Leading up to the big day, every student decorated a bag that would hold all their cards. I remember how much fun I had as a child when I exchanged cards at school. I'm hoping this tradition will also teach Skyler to be inclusive, help develope reading skills and explore her many creative talents. As you saw from the last post, Skyler had fun making gifts and creating her own personalized card.
Sky was so excited to show me all her cards and goodies from her classmates. Grouped below are the cards from the girls.....
And then the boys.....
I snapped some pictures of Skyler, before school, as she sorted through her Valentine's Day bag filled with many love gifts from her Gammey. She's a big puzzle lover and received three new ones!
Speaking of love, the Princess loves Tea Parties. In fact, we probably have at least ten a day! Cousin Nikki sent Skyler the book, "Tea Time with Sophia Grace and Rosie." It's perfect reading during our parties!
Hope Cupid struck you, too! XXOO
