Mother Teresa once said, "Love is a FRUIT in season at ALL times and within reach of every hand." That verse captures Skyler's teacher's love so perfectly. Mrs. Fitzsimmons gives of herself every. single. day! And my daughter is blessed to be on the receiving end. What a better way to show our appreciation than to gift her a beautiful fruit bouquet on her birthday. Yes, Mrs. Fitzsimmons is a 1-2-3 baby, January 23rd that is!
Skyler insisted on making Mrs. Fitzsimmons a home made birthday card. She filled the front with many flowers and a bright sun. I was quite proud of her eagerness and her handwriting. She created a beautiful card all from love!
Speaking of love, Gammey knitted two gorgeous scarves for us to give to Mrs. Fitzsimmons. My mother is so talented, especially when it comes to a needle and thread/yarn. Sky's teacher has admired the scarves that my Mum has made me, so we knew it would make the prefect birthday present! In fact, we couldn't decide on which one we liked best, so Gammey knitted both of them!
We picked up a scarf holder from Stein Mart to complete the accessory package.
And added a fresh fruit bouquet from Edible Arrangements. Each irresistible piece of fruit just screams 'Healthy!'
After our Thursday morning ritual (Kiwanis), Skyler walked into class and greeted her teacher with a birthday hug, kiss and presents. The Princess couldn't wait to tell Mrs. Fitzsimmons that her Gammey made the scarves.
Sky's classmates were excited to watch in the gift opening.
Before leaving to work, I snapped a picture of our fabulous Birthday teacher with her students. What a fun morning. Making others feel so loved is what life is all about!
