Christmas Happiness!

I've always enjoyed Christmas, especially when it's shared with family. I love the spirit, the decorating, the kinder hearts of people, the merriment of parties and friendships, BUT mostly I love the fact that we have a precious blessing running around our home! Our holiday started off with a Christmas Eve dinner downtown followed by a lovely church service and then some festive holiday light sight seeing.

Glammey, Skyler & Papa play as we wait for our reservation.

Skyler loved the dazzle of the lights and we loved the twinkle in her eyes! Once we arrived home, Tom dressed his homemade cheese cakes with fresh toppings before tomorrow's big celebration. Skyler was introduced to batter licking and definitely enjoyed it!

It was fun waking Skyler up Christmas morning. We all stood outside her bedroom door ringing bells and saying Ho-Ho-Ho! I managed to snap this picture right before she woke up.

Tom, Glammey, Papa and I had more fun watching Skyler unwrap her gifts. As you all know, our Angel is a huge Barney Fan, so to see her expression when he appeared out of a box was priceless!

Skyler had a blast unwrapping her gifts from her Grandparents, Auntie Cheryl, Uncle Charles, Auntie Nicola & Uncle Bogie. Our living room looked like a mixture of Toys R Us & a Beautiful Baby Boutique combined!

Just when Skyler thought she was finished tearing that last package, a Big Wheel appeared from Glammey & Papa! You can only guess her surprise and excitement. Skyler became the riding pro! Enjoy the many pictures......

Skyler took her new skill outside and showed Glammey her riding talent. She even looked behind her as she was backing up! Too cute.

By mid afternoon, Uncle Larry, Auntie Kevie and Cousins Nikki, Jodi & Jared arrived. Skyler is a dog lover so she enjoyed playing with Lucy & Laney before dinner.

After dinner, Skyler played with her family and opened more gifts!

She received the cutest grocery cart from the Clark's filled with grocery goodies. Skyler made sure to explore every room in the house with the cart.

By late evening, it was a quick change into her Calvin Klein Lady Bug pajamas for some good book reading with her Cousin Nikki . Then it was back to the grocery cart and then playing with her Fisher Price Little people Nativity Scene. It was amazing to watch her pick up the baby and say "Jesus".

It will be a treasure for years to come to watch Skyler reenact the story known around the world about a shining star and a little town. It will definitely fascinate and stimulate her imagination. We are so blessed to have such a delightful child who is learning about the Lord each day.

We hope your Christmas of 2010 was filled with all the joyful gifts of our Savior...peace, faith, freedom and love! May God continue to bless you and your loved ones during this New Year!
