Weekend Wrap Up

Such fun in the Short household this weekend! For starters, Skyler got her 14th tooth Sunday. The lower left canine popped out, creating no fuss, just smiles! While Daddy refereed all day Saturday, Skyler and I made it an all girly day! We started off in her pink pad. She likes to grab her favorites and bring them along.

As you can see in the picture below, she enjoys placing her goodies on the chairs as if they were real people. Quite cute to witness this loving and caring trait!

Laney even got an invite, but after a few minutes she wanted to go! Skyler kept the door closed, but Laney was determined to leave, so she decided to jump out the window.

The weather was finally warm enough to enjoy the outdoors, so that's where we headed.....to the swing!

then a wagon ride around the neighborhood...

Once the sun went down, we spent time working on her artist ability. Skyler loves to color!

All that play made us quite thirsty, so we had a Tea Party for Two, including delicious cakes!

Our Princess is still styling when it's time for bed. Check out her adorable "Life is Good" Lady Bug pajamas from her Auntie Kevie, Uncle Larry and cousin's Nikki, Jodi & Jared. Although we missed Daddy, we certainly had a fun packed weekend!

Before I go, I must share a remarkable story with you all. Skyler's cousin Nikki has a Corgi dog named Lucy. Lucy also spent Christmas with us and Skyler got to see her four legged friend a few days later at cousin Jodi's engagement party. Anyway, yesterday Skyler kept saying Lucy during breakfast. Of course, I was quite confused because she knows her Westie dog is named Laney and she can certainly say it. Well, she kept pointing to the kitchen window, repeating Lucy-Lucy-Lucy. I knew there was no dog in our back yard, but that's when it hit me. On the kitchen window sill was a bottle of dog breath mints and a Corgi was pictured on this bottle. I grabbed it, brought it to her and bingo! This dog looked similar to Lucy. 30 days had passed since Skyler played with Lucy, yet she remembered the dog's face. What a smart little girl! Amazing stuff, huh?
