The Socialite!

Let the Parties begin!
Skyler has made many friends, very quickly, at school. She recently attended two birthday parties, two Saturday's in a row. Pink gifts for Hannah. Blue gifts for Chris. Sky even got to wear her boutique clothes she received from her Gammey for Easter.

Skyler practiced singing "Happy Birthday" before  we left for Hannah's birthday at Sky's favorite park.
We arrived shortly before 3PM on April 21st and Skyler placed Hannah's gifts under the pavilion before running over to the playground for a quick play.
And for 5 minutes she played......

It was unfortunate that dark clouds started forming fast. After only 45 minutes, the park ranger asked everyone to leave since lightning was spotted in the area. We were saddened for Hannah, because she couldn't open her gifts in front of all her friends. At least the kids got to eat and enjoy Thomas the Train cupcakes! Hannah's quite shy so I was unable to capture any pictures of her & Skyler. Although the party was cut short, the Princess had a good time with her friends while I enjoyed meeting all the parents.

Next up, Chris' birthday party at Explorations V Museum on April 28th. Talk about F-U-N with a fire engine theme. Before Marriage & Child, I was an active Board member of this amazing museum, so it's close to my heart. The museum is a 3-story, hands on, fun filled adventure in learning. It sure opened Skyler's five senses and took her on a jet-stream journey on every floor!

The museum granted each birthday guest use of all the exhibits before and after Chris' party. Skyler explored so many exhibits with her classmate & friend, Cameron. Gammey even joined us! Here are some photos of Sky and Cameron. They were buddies all day and I think her favorite exhibit was the Publix Super Market.

Uncle "Dog" would have loved the NASA Exhibit!
Shopping at Publix.....

After a fun 30 minutes, the party began! We were asked to come upstairs to the party room (decorated in the fire engine theme) and help Chris enjoy hot pizza and cake, along with all the other birthday festivities.

Pizza...a big favorite!
Then it was Cake Time!

Everyone sang to Chris
And the girls helped him blow out the candles.
After Chris opened his presents and everyone finally said goodbye, Skyler and Gammey explored the museum a bit more before heading home. From a mini microscope to a large telescope.

What's a little fun without a slide?
The Princess definitely had a blast at both parties. As we drove home, Skyler kept talking about her upcoming birthday, so I guess I need to start working on the Grand Event! Still can't believe my Miss Precious is turning 3!
