Fridays are always Fundays for us. After picking Skyler up from school, we got a quick start to the weekend and enjoyed lunch at Lake Morton, while taking the time to even feed the ducks.
The weather was beautiful....sunny with a slight breeze.
After enjoying God's beauty and a delicious lunch, we cleaned up and headed to another Ice Cream Social!
My Kiwanis club sponsored another the ice cream and cookie party for students ranging from Kindergarten to 5th grade. This one took place at Cleveland Court Elementary. We got everything set up before the crowds swarmed upon us at 1:20PM. 228 students to be exact. Skyler was armed with her sprinkle shaker and and a huge smile. She was ready!
She wasted no time and was on the move from table to table screaming, "Who wants sprinkles?"
Another week of community service complete! I rewarded her help with, you guessed it, ice cream!
Skyler then decided to turn into the free entertainment. She went around to the final class group, 5th graders, singing and dancing. I never said she was shy!
Once we cleaned all the tables, Skyler spent some time talking to one of my favorite Kiwanians, Hank Pease. It sure was a fun afternoon! We certainly look forward to seeing our Kiwanis family this Thursday at 6:30 in the morning.
