Being married to a teacher has made me realize even more have valuable their occupation is. They play an important role in a student's life and sometimes a "simple" thank you is all a teacher needs to feel valued!
Skyler wanted to do something extra special and creative for her two teachers during Teacher Appreciation week, so we put our thinking hats on and after making our shopping list, our mission began!
We gathered the necessary supplies....Mound bars, bag of Smarties, 2 Sharpie pens, decorative boxes with shredded basket paper and thank you cards.
Skyler quickly got to work assembling her gifts.
Next came the miniature Mound bars....
Mix in some Smarties....
Add the Sharpies....
Fit the lids....
The final touch was signing her name to each card. Skyler does such a wonderful and legible job, she just happens to write her name upwards. Guess that's her personal touch!
We then added our special homemade tags....
Skyler was extra excited to attend school this morning. She was even ready to play her teachers a song on her new recorder! It was a fun night creating our gifts and a fun morning delivering them.
The decision to teach often comes with low to moderate pay and around-the-clock hours. Today was a perfect time to personally thank Ms. Jenny & Ms. Tina for their sacrifices and support they show Sky each day! Happy Teacher Appreciation Week!
