Rocky Mountain Tennessee Take IV

With our luggage packed and our boarding passes in hand, Gammey, Skyler and I were all set to begin our traditional Girl Trip to Tennessee on Thursday, the 9th. Hard to believe this marks our 4th! Our plans included much of the same from the past trips...plenty of farm fun, lots of boutique shopping, relaxation and    getting smothered in family love. Only one aspect was different on this trip. We chose to fly instead of drive. Yes, we were eager to arrive and start our enjoyment!
Skyler is quite the frequent flyer with Allegiant Arlines and certainly knows her way around St. Petersburg - Clearwater Airport.
We boarded our plane around 6PM and it was smooth flying from there!

Once we got off the plane and passed security, Skyler saw her Auntie Cheryl and took of like a lightning bolt, running down the corridor into her arms. We then ate dinner at J. Alexander's in Chattanooga.
Since we arrived to the farm fairly late, we called it a night. Sky got up early and couldn't wait to visit her furry friends after breakfast. In fact, she was so excited, she greeted all her buddies in her pajamas and rubber boots.
FRIDAY:
She also got reacquainted with her umbrella.....an item she's not stopped talking about since her last visit!

Of course, Mousse was her top priority when heading to the barn! Nothing had changed from our last visit three months ago....he was like glue with the Princess!

All her four legged friends remembered her and Babs, the goat, put on a show! I would not have believed it until I saw it with my own eyes. This goat loves piggy back rides from Mousse.
After our Friday morning visit, we spent the rest of the day doing what girls do best..shop! Before we began our shopping excursion, we met Brother Green and his wife Miss Anita, for lunch at the Olive Garden. It was also Brother Green's birthday and Skyler asked him if he was going to have a Princess party!

Our shopping included visits to the beauty supply store, award winning boutiques, the shoe store and a unique gift shop.

Considering Skyler missed her nap and had been shopping for almost four hours, she really did great. We always visit Miss Pat at her beautiful boutique, "The Orange Blossom". Here we are with Miss Pat towards the end of our shopping trip. Poor Sky was ready for some beauty sleep.
We had a great day out on the town and Sky was able to catch a couple of zzz's. Once she woke up, she grabbed her umbrella, visited her friends and picked up our Saturday morning breakfast from the chickens.

Look who found tomorrow's breakfast!
Babs had to show Auntie Chez her balancing skills....too cute!
Babe, a Jack Russell Terrier puppy and the newest additional to the farm, also gave her balancing skills a try, but I think Babs got a bit jealous...

Thelma and Louise always pop up in pairs when they see Skyler.  Thank goodness our Princess shares all her love. Rachie thought so, too!
Some of you might already know that Auntie Cheryl lost her beloved dog, Bama, recently to cancer. Auntie Nicola and Uncle Bogie designed and made Bama's grave marker. Skyler told us that Bama is playing with Papa and is having a great time. She wanted to visit her grave and kiss her cross.

I'm so happy my sister got a new puppy. Although Sweet Babe will never be able to replace Bama, she will definitely take away her pain and bring joy back into a life.
SATURDAY:
We spent Saturday enjoying the entire day on the farm. Skyler had a special visitor....her friend Darby. Darby and Skyler became friends last year and the two play so well together. Sky was eager to show off her Aunt's new puppy.

The girls ran around the 10 acres for hours....Babe too!

The girls hugged each other goodbye after a fun day on the farm, promising each other to get together on a future trip.
An hour later, Skyler got her wish.....it rained and she was finally able to use her umbrella! Although it was a quick shower, the Princess enjoyed every bit of it!
She even had Cody Dog and Gammey join her!
More visits to the barn....
Skyler saw Brutus and the first thing she said was, "Look Mummy, we match!"
Smiles of love....
Mousse, the Taxi Cab!

Sky loves to climb outside and has the bruises to prove it. She liked this tree in particular!
SUNDAY:
My 4th Mother's Day was just as special as the first. In fact, they keep getting better! I was blessed to be celebrating MY day with my daughter, mother and sister.
We spent the day in Chattanooga and took a sightseeing and lunch cruise on the Southern Belle Riverboat.

Once we board, we were treated to a light delight, chilled Mimosas. The bartender was kind enough to make Sky a virgin Mimosa. What a perfect drink for a special occasion!
Joining us on the cruise, was Auntie Cheryl's friend Sally and her mother and girlfriend. (Sally took this pic of our group)
Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with the food. It was a horrible lunch. Thank goodness we were saved by the coffee, the musician and the relaxing scenic cruise along the Tennessee River or it would have been a complete bust!
The Big River Grill, was just around the corner so we headed to our favorite Chattanooga restaurant and enjoyed the rest of our afternoon. Three cheers for the Big River Grill for saving the day! lol

Mother's Day 2013...
Our flight was just a few hours away, so it was time to head to the airport and say our goodbyes. I always love my visits to C&C Farms, but I especially love the time I get to share with my sister Cheryl. Our 4th Annual Girl's trip was another success, filled with fun and love! Skyler agrees, too!

After checking in the luggage, we enjoyed a cappuccino at an empty bar. Our plane was delayed, but Skyler stayed busy cleaning the chairs. It was hilarious to watch and she was in her element. Yeap, Sky loves to clean and the airport bartender wanted to take her home and put her to work!
Look Mum, dirt!
Since we had such a long delay at the airport and arrived well after midnight, Sky and I stayed at Gammey's and drove safely home that Monday morning. I must show off what my Princess made me for Mother's Day. A beautiful home made card and a bouquet of "Skyler" paper hands, freshly painted by the artist herself! Another keepsake for sure!
