This past Wednesday was the last day of Cubbies for Skyler. It has been a wonderful year watching Sky grow and develop respect for God, His Son and His Word. Every single Wednesday, she would get so excited to learn about God and the greatness of His Love!
Skyler was the only girl out of six Cubbies and she definitely gained such wonderful friendships with the boys. The last meeting was devoted to awards and an ice cream party celebration. Sky was the top Cubbie, earning the most points from her class through attendance, bringing the required class materials, completing weekly homework and learning bible verses.
Skyler received five achievement awards and a Cubbie "Year One" bear. Sky was presented with her patches from her Cubbies Leader, Mrs. Wanda and Mrs Carol, her Cubbie Teacher, placed them on her vest.
Cubbies is a two year class for four and five year olds. Because of Skyler's advancement, the Awana leaders asked her join at the age of three. We are so proud of our Princess.
After watching the award ceremony for Cubbies, Sparks (K-2nd grade) and T&T {Truth & Training}grades 3-6, everyone enjoyed an ice cream party to celebrate their success.
Yummy time for sure!
After the party, the kids returned to their designated groups and enjoyed indoor games before saying goodbye until September. Awana is definitely making an impact. Skyler has learned so many bible verses and bible stories. I'm so proud she is one out of two million kids who participate in this Nationwide Ministry!
Catch us in the Fall for a new Cubbie year!
