Out With The Old!

The Tooth Fairy made her first appearance during the late hours this past Tuesday, April 30th! Skyler's lower center incisor had been loose for over a week and her pearly white was barely hanging on by a thread. While the average age might be  5 1/2 to 6 years to lose your first tooth, our Dentist said we shouldn't be alarmed. It is considered normal.
Because it was extremely loose, I asked Sky if she wanted me to pull it out. She was full of excitement and very brave when she responded "YES!" After a slight little wiggle, I placed her very first tooth in the palm of her hand. She was overjoyed and eagerly showed Daddy and Gammey her treasure. She barely bled.

We have been telling Skyler many stories about the Tooth Fairy and all the preparations involved prior to her magical visit. The Princess was beyond excited! Sky placed her tooth under her pillow and after a sweet kiss and saying her good night prayers, she went to bed.

At 6:47 Wednesday morning, a very happy little girl awoke! Skyler came running out of her bedroom holding her money from the Tooth Fairy. It was one of the most memorable events that I will cherish forever.

Skyler quickly noticed and pointed to the Fairy's Pixie Dust leading into her bedroom. She followed the trail to her bed and the smiles continued. Having the Tooth Fairy visit our home was such a wonderful way to end the month of April and also a fabulous way to begin the month of May!

What a great childhood milestone!

"Little child, gently sleeping
Baby tooth:now mine for keeping.
Beneath your pillow, under you head
Your tooth I took, your treat I left
Your tooth so shiny, so white, so bright.
Keep brushing
I'll return again in the night."
Love,
Tooth Fairy
