Freestylin' To Level 4

Our Sweet Water Lover just completed and passed Level 3 Swimming Course that lasted three weeks.
Because of her big accomplishment, we went out Friday night to celebrate. In fact, it was a double treat, since Sky completed a month class of flag football and scored a touchdown on Thursday night!
 Let the party begin!

After a wonderful meal, we came back to the house and relaxed. After looking at these few blog pictures, I realized a few things....Skyler's legs are getting longer, her eyes are staying a beautiful blue and her golden locks are definitely highlighted from the sun.

Another Daddy/Daughter Day!

It was another wonderful Daddy/Daughter Day yesterday and my two Lovies took off to St. Petersburg to spend the afternoon at the Ball Park.
Although the Tampa Bay Rays lost to a red hot Toronto Blue Jay team 3-0, they both had a great time. During the traditional 7th Inning stretch, all the kids got to run the bases. Skyler really enjoyed that part! Waiting for the go ahead...
After her speedy lap around the bases, Skyler got to meet Raymond Ray, the Mascot! His furry face, that is similar to a Walrus, and his bulbous blue belly, that likens him to a Mutant Manatee, didn't even scare the Princess at all! Rowdy Raymond loved Sweet Skyler
After a fun day at the "Trop", Daddy took the Princess to Madeira Beach where she meet a new friend for the day.
I was already a bit jealous of their adventures but my level grew slightly after I received this next picture of Skyler dining at my favorite British pub, The London Bus, in Seminole. The two enjoyed a shared portion of Shepherd's Pie! (I was blessed to visit this past Saturday night during MY weekend get-a-way...alone!)
Cool Entrance....Notice the Double Decker London Bus!
Full front entrance showing the Iconic Seminole Roadside Pub...
Before venturing home, Daddy & Sky swam in Gammey's community pool at her condo and it just topped of the evening! We certainly had one very tired little girl by 9PM, but Skyler was such a trooper that she woke up at 5:45 this morning to attend our Kiwanis meeting.
By 8AM, Skyler was all ready to enjoy her swim lesson...
 Life is Good!
Skyler will be graded tomorrow on everything she's learned in the past three weeks. Fingers crossed for a passing grade to move to level 4! After swimming, we caught our breath and relaxed before heading home to create more adventures.

All For Fun

School is closed this week, but that doesn't stop the Princess from having fun these past few days. Here's a few snap shots from the last two days. Skyler played plenty of dress up....
 Designed a Barbie purse...

Played in a wet sand box after an afternoon shower...
 Colored a picture for Gammey
Squeezed in an hour of gymnastics...
Continued daily swimming lessons at Florida Southern College. Skyler is the only girl in her group of four and is Coached by Mr. Dan. Each morning, they all gather, sitting on their towels while going over the rules.
 Sky & Coach Dan...
She's really excelling. Besides swimming and learning the free style stroke, her confidence/bravery is up!  One of Skyler's lessons involves jumping in the deep end, twirling in a circle for ten seconds (keeping her head up) and then swimming to the steps. Pretty cool indeed!

After an hour of swim class, we enjoyed resting on the campus swing, taking in the morning beauty.
Sky's pointing to the Yacht Club, located on the other side of Lake Hollingsworth, where we meet for Kiwanis each Thursday morning at 6:30AM.
And by the second day of the week, she even helped me bake English Sausage rolls for my monthly book club meeting with my girlfriends...

 Yummy...
To say we keep busy & change clothes is an under statement, but we sure have fun doing it! And to think it's only Tuesday.

A Special Tribute II

Last year, Skyler and I started a new Father's Day tradition to honor her Papa and my amazing Daddy by floating balloons up to his Heavenly Kingdom. I choose five balloons to represent the months between January 13th (Dad's eternal life) and June 16th (Father's Day). I picked three  balloons to honor his accomplishments as a wonderful Dad (one for each daughter and the color Green for his last name) The remaining two balloons represented the legacy that will live forever through me and his granddaughter, Skyler.  Last year Sky chose purple, but this year she wanted pink!
We wrote personal messages on each balloon.

And then we went outside in both the front and back yard to release his special tribute.

One by one, we released each balloon and watched it float away.  The Princess kept saying, "I love you, Papa" and "I miss you, Papa". I was blessed to have Tom capture such an emotional yet wonderful tradition. The weather was perfect and I know my Dad was watching with a smile.

It was such a bitter sweet Sunday. Sweet to watch Tom & Skyler share in such a beautiful love they have for one another. Bitter because this was the second year not being able to create more amazing Father's Day memories with my Daddy. I'm so glad I started this tradition last year. It will forever remain apart of our day on those future 3rd Sunday's in June!

Daddy, will always be my Hero and my first Love. I miss you every single minute of every single day. Happy Father's Day!  Because of your desire to provide all those special gifts to me, I am able to share these delightful memories each day to Skyler.
