What an exciting time for our Citrus Center Kiwanis Club! The holidays are upon us and with them come multitude of activities. There were certainly no shortage of ways to help our community this past week!
Our Kiwanis club hosted it's annual Christmas party for the many children at the Florida Baptist Children's Home yesterday morning. Sky wanted a front row seat to watch the children's visit with Santa. This has always been one of Skyler's favorite events. After raising money, we get to shop for twelve kids and wrap all the presents.
We enjoyed a home cooked breakfast by the staff and sang Christmas carols, before the children visited with Santa. Skyler enjoyed watching the boys and girls listen to a story from Santa's Elf, Kiwanian Jodi Kusley. Jodi and Sky sit together every Thursday and have formed a special friendship. They even text each other during the week! Sky brought her bells to ring during the song, "Jingle Bells".

The Princess received her very own stocking during the party. It was a delightful surprise!
My Kiwanis Brothers and Sisters have embraced Skyler since she attended her first Kiwanis meeting at the young age of 4 weeks old. They have definitely watched her grow and are so pleased to see her become an active volunteer in our community. She makes a great Kiwanian and I am a proud Mommy!
Two other favorite Kiwanians on the Princess's list are "KK" (Kathryn Koch) and "ZZ" (Z Milton). Friends do make life so much sweeter!
