Skyler and her teacher Mrs Fitzsimmons....
The two week winter school break officially began when the school bell rang on Friday, the 20th. Leading up to the Christmas holiday were many school festivities that Skyler enjoyed with her PreK classmates. It all began with the elusive Gingerbread Man. Next on the list of Christmas school events was The Polar Express. Sky got to dress in her pajamas and enjoy a full day centered around the Polar Express animated movie.
The Princess had a fun filled day. Mrs. Fitzsimmons did a wonderful job decorating the classroom & it's door and also made a train from large boxes.
The very next day, every student in the school met outside on the P.E. courts to enjoy a Christmas recital. Many children sang, including Skyler's PreK class! I was blessed to have been a part of an adorable production! Sky and her classmates made sweet reindeer shirts using their hand, foot and thumb prints. Mrs Fitzsimmons then got each one embroidered. What a wonderful keepsake!
I'm such a proud Mummy!
Here are a few pictures taken during the hour event.

Once we returned to class, the children enjoyed decorating a snowman and a winter scene using all kinds of edible goodness! It was such a yummy and fun craft!
Before I left, the children sang the song, "I'm Getting Nuttin' For Christmas for me that was even choreographed! It was just too darn cute! Skyler really enjoys performing and never shows hint of stage freight.
By the end of the day, we hugged Mrs. Fitzsimmons goodbye, wished her a Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year. She thanked us for her 12 Days of Christmas gifts and told Sky how much she enjoyed the daily surprises. School adventures will resume on January 7th, so stay tuned!
