68 college basketball teams are playing for the NCAA National Title just up the road from us. They call this spring event March madness. Since we've been back from our Madeira Beach trip, it's definitely been March Madness in the Short household. Remember when I shared with you our great buys from this weekend at the Flea Market? Well, this is one of them....a Little Tikes basketball set. We placed it on the indoor patio and Skyler has enjoyed the rigorous, non stop play.
The over sized rim and junior size basketball helps ensure that baskets will be easy to make. This really encouraged her active, winning play!
Definitely a slam dunk favorite! Each time she made a basket, Sky would flash those pearly whites while raising her hands in the air screaming, "score"!
I think it's an ideal set for encouraging the concepts of competitive play, turn taking and cooperative teamwork. There are 6 different height adjustments to increase the opportunities of success. And with the way our active toddler is growing, we'll be adjusting it often!
