Museum Musings

Lakeland has been hammered with non stop, yet much needed, rain every single afternoon for over a week. Playgrounds and parks are curently off the summer afternoon activity list until Mr. Sun starts reappearing. In the mean time, Skyler and I decided to spend one afternoon at our local Children's Museum. Her first stop is always to the Publix grocery store.

Perfect for her imagination. I love watching her fill up that buggy and then operating the scanning register. Skyler loves when her Daddy grills steaks, so I wasn't surprise when she picked that food item first. Good taste!

The Airplane is usually a close second...

Our little explorer.....

We always finish off in the basement playing in the Juice Factory exhibit. She gets to follow the oranges on an amazing journey to distant land while she picks, packs, sorts and slides in this fanciful  Florida Orange grove and juice factory.

She loves to "transport" the fruit...

She even "works" the stand...
Before leaving with our umbrella, the Princess visited the tree house one last time. Felt like we were in our own backyard adventure, climbing and exploring!

We enjoyed all three levels of the museum and it sure beats a rainy day! Over 4000 families belong to this amazing museum that is nestled in our cute downtown historic district. We're glad to be one of those fun families!
