Play Date

This past Friday, Skyler invited her bestie, Clayton Knowles, over after school for an evening of pure Friday fun! 

Skyler waited and watched for Clayton by the living room window. She asked every few minutes, "When is Clayton's Mummy bringing him!" I kept looking at the clock and counting down the minutes for her. Amazing how children have no concept regarding time. Her favorite school buddy finally arrived at 4:30.

Friday's are water days at school, so they just jumped back into their swim suits and enjoyed playing in the water together. 

The sand box also saw some action.... 

then the weather turned ugly..... 

So inside we went for a pizza picnic mixed with the movie Toy Story 2. Clayton had never seen the movie, so he was really fascinated!

After dinner is more playtime but only indoors, since the storm was still very active. The kiddos played with the fax machine, taking turns. 

No play date is ever complete without ice cream! 

By the end of the night, they decided to entertain us with music. 

Next thing you know, the door bell rang and Clayton's parents, Brian & Rebecca, arrived. These two darlings play together so well and although they are still young, they have been friends since birth!
